Topic: Some direction please... what is the differance between w56 a - b- c- d- e

What is the differance i have looked everywhere and searched im guessing it just the model and none are stronger. If they are stronger that would be good information. I know the E's have a much different feel then the A's. Im tryin to find out which would be best for me and if i should spend the extra money to get the newer ones.

A & B are topshift. C, D, E, are forward shift.  The newer ones have multi-piece syncros and have other changes year to year.

Yea I guess I do.. lol  BUT for a yota its true.  Compare the injections setup from a 85 to that of a 95.  Yes they are very similar but the 95 will have a good bit more zip and less crap hanging off of it from being refined and improved over the past decade.  Same holds true for a tranny.  The later ones have little improvements along the way that make them worthwhile.
