My buddy used the hf model for his whole exo. No probs, been rubber side up twice
What pipe/tube did he use? Did he pack it with sand or just bend it plain straight up?
No sand, just bent the , he used schd 40. yes i know why you shouldn't use "pipe" for a cage
Why should you use pipe for a cage? Is it just too weak?
Pipe is not structural, not designed to carry a load, tubing is designed for that.
Dont talk about things you dont know.. Pipe is used in structural building all the time
I personally, have never seen a pro racer's vehicle use pipe. I believe there is a reason for it. Reasons like, pipe does not have as high of yield as DOM tubing. NASCAR does not use pipe, SCORE does not use pipe. If I took my truck to a shop and they bent me a cage with an exhaust bender, a pipe bender or used pipe on my cage or even HREW, I would throw freakin' fit. I'd be up their butt so far I'd tickle the back of his throat. No way in hell I'd pay for that crap.
haha i race dirt track cars so i know the rules, haha u should read the rules http://oceanspeedway.com/Uploads/AmericanStockRules.pdfRoll cage material must be 1 3/4"o.d. round mild steel tubing by .095" minimum wall thickness or 1 3/4" o.d. black iron pipe by .125" wall thickness.pipe is used on nascars.. only if u want to
Wow, I stand corrected, so you can use it but no ones does because its more weight.IronClad, .
man all the pissey people on here, fu$k youd think there on there periods.yall make me laugh.and who's to say whats right or wrong on someone else's rig?I have used black gas pipe for shock hoops, and rear shock mounts..its strong enough for that and can be bought on a sunday.babble on
