Possible want to Sell 82 Toyota SWB, Nor Cal WIllows, Ca
« on: Apr 01, 2008, 10:03:37 PM »
Im kind of thinking about selling/trading my 1982 Toyota. I just want to find out how much I could be offered or what I could trade for. Im actually wanting a 4Runner for the space.

Heres the speil.  :beerchug:

Its got a 1987 2WD truck 22R motor and complete wiring harness in it (carbed) 200,XXX miles on the motor.
160,XXX miles on the truck
Probably a two inch lift, and extended shackles
4 speed manual tranny
Later model t case (swapped forward shift rails for top shift)
35x12.5x15 Laraedo LT Tires
CD player, custom speaker boxes behind Non ripped bench seat with 6 1/2 and 5 1/4 speaker in each of the two boxes.
SR5 Gauge cluster
Manual Steering
Cherrybomb 2 1/4" glasspack
I have two brand new in box Trail Gear 5.29s not installed yet that will go too.
Siliconed sunroof, good glass all around, no cracks or chips
Rock lights too
The interior is decent, custom dash insert, no drivers door panel.
No heater or AC stuff at all, I pulled it all out.

I built up the truck between Nov 07 and Jan 08 and smogged and registered it in Jan 08
It smogged first try.

This is a hypothetical sale though. Could you all just give me an idea for price or trade? I would actually like a 4Runner. I need the room. Thanks

I would say in california you would get $2000-2500.  I truthfully dont think you could get anymore than that.  I bought mine for $3200 and it had a brand new ATK crate motor, Rebuilt l52 5speed with new 4.7 case from marlin, detroits front and rear with 5.29's and it is super clean.  Back east you could get more I am sure.

I was thinkin around $2000-$2500 too. Its decently clean. Its had a recent full tune up. The paint job is Ford Diesel Blue and Flat black spraypaint. Gas prices are starting to get to me and I will be starting college in September down in Sacramento

If you're thinkin about 4K, I think that it looks way way nicer than it really is. Its a nice truck but its not perfectly clean.

Please keep the ideas coming, thanks

I will post up pics of the interior later when my computer stops givin me crap and the pain codene pills chill out.

I can imagine there is.  My friend's family has a cabin at 5500ft elevation by lassen and there was 8 feet of snow a few weeks ago!

You sir got an excellent deal, and your experience is not at all typical!  I got my 01 street bike in 02 for $2500, but that was right place, right time.

I really like it too, nut I would actually like a 4runner because I never have enough room in this to have everything I need in it.

The bed is always full of spare tire, small tool box, ammo can, 1st aid box, two jerry cans, 5 gal bucket, and Hi lift, then inside I have two tool bags, two speaker boxes, boots, shoes, cd case, more tools and a bunch of crap on my dash that goes flying every time I hit a big bump.

A trekkar would be even better!

a 4runner you will still have the issue with room.  If you are filling the bed up then you will fill in the cab of the 4runner also.  I think 2500 would be a good asking price, start there
