clutch and fly wheel??????????

is there a flywheel upgrade for an 84 22r?  you know like a heavier weight or something fly wheel that will help in the power(or lack there of) department.

I know marlin sells a Heavy duty clutch.  That is what I am running in my 84 22r.  It works great.

I want to say that a 20r flywheel is 5 lbs heavier than 22r but I cant guarantee it.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

Yes I have heard that the 20R is heavier also

Well I dont' think there is really much more here unless some can get a hold of a 22R and 20R flywheel and wiegh them for us so we no exactly how much the difference is Hint Hint

went to auto zone today and asked for a flywheel for an 80 yota/20r and one for my 84 yota/22r.............both flywheels had the same part number. oh well back to the drawing board i suppose.

thats a after market # i weight them both about 15 years ago the 20r was heaver

I think the Centerforce flywheels are heavier than stock. Here is the table from their site showing 29.3lbs for the 22 series engines:

Roger Brown has one in his rig: http://www.4crawler.com/4Runner.shtml#Drivetrain I'm not sure what to make of it, but the Macromotive site shows a weight fo 43lbs for flywheel #700830  :dunno:
