L52 to a G52?

Besides making a new crossmember bracket will i need to change anything else if i put a g52 in my truck? a.d take out the old L52 its a 83 and i heard i might have to trim the ploor board

your going from a top shift t-case to a forward shift so i dont think you should have to even cut out the floor board.

where at will i need to cut holes at? Are the holes for the shifter location?

dude  the G52  is identical to the L52  on the inside,  if you want something  to last  get a L52HD  from Marlin

dont goto all the work of swapping to a  tranny that doesnt fit  thats  no stronger than what you have

isnt the g52 longer by about 4 to 5 inches over the l52 im in brookings oregon right on the cali border on the coast

probably closer to 6 inches,   but  the  gear set  is  about the same, thats why i said  you shouldnt go to all the trouble of a G52  cause you have to have your driveshafts lengthened  on the front and shortened on the rear,  just like if you were to add dual cases

ouch,  shipping would kill that deal,  i think Lilbuddy still has  a L52  for sale,   check the sale  section  here  and  i bet you can find one close  to you for cheap

I'd swap the g series in even if its the same strength as an L series just for the added length.  When that g series dies just swap a w series in there and be done with it beings all the work on the drivelines is already done.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??
