just got done with my dual cases, went to go put in a driveline i thought was going to work perfect, and its a bit short.  its for the rear, has a cv in it, 2in. of extension, and about 4in. of compression.  let me know what you guys think.  if i was to guess, i would think it needs to be the other way around with 2in. comp. 4in. ext.  anyways, let me know.  i was also thinking of putting in a spacer, but not sure if there is such a thing that measures at least an inch.  thanks

If you only have 2 inches of spline holding your driveshaft together I would have it langthend. I wouldn't trust any sort of spaser on a driveshaft.

i was afraid i was going to hear that.  you think it'll pull apart like that?  i called the shop here in town and they want $250 to legthen it and balance it.  i can get a new one from high angle for that much.  i was just trying to see if there was anyway of getting around it.

I've have a friend that put his driveshaft in with only a little bit of splines holdin it together and it came apart on the freeway of all places.   :sheerterror:
