Honestly....I say park your car out on the street in front of one les shwab store.... with a sign..."let LES SHWAB drive your car"

NOW, if that dont work....take it infront of another store with a different manager..."ok, go talk to that manager first, let him know whats going on and WHY you want to park your car out there, maybe he can get corporate help to fix the problem? for reasons nate just said...other manager might be more willing to fix it....cuz it makes him look just as bad, and since you are generalizing les shwab as a company, not a specific location, there is no slander and nothing illegal done....they share the same company name, they share the same drama.....lol
Sand, what fun, drop pressure to 12psi, stock tires are still digging, can't afford to get stuck, 8psi, still not working. Find a place to GET OUT, air up, un-lock hubs,  WAIT whats this, hubs are UN-LOCKED already. 2wd, 8psi, stock tires, Oregon sand dunes.

well i got a call from schwabs today, and after further evaluation, they have decided to total the car.

they offered me 5000.00 to settle.

the kbb is 8265, and i also put nearly 3k of this years tax return into the car in upgrades

so i comprised a list of equivelent cars and thier average price

it ended up being 8234.25
i added 1700 for wheels and tires that had less than 50 miles on them for a total of 9834.25

i told them i would settle for this number.

am i out of line?? i dont think so

i couldnt replace the car for 5k and they know it..so why offer that??  the cheapest es300 i found was 3 years older and 5995.00....so i have proof that i coulnt replace the car

i a little more then pissed

Your right if kbb means nothing in this area, and none of the insurance companies I have used even use this, they always evaluate what it would cost in your area to replace your vehicle!   I dont think your out of line and for all your trouble they should pay you more!!   They dont want to goto court if they do their going to loose more than a few grand more than they want to pay  you due to yours and their attourneys fees!!

Dan,

They can't decide to total your car.  Because it isn't your fault, it is entirely up to you, not them, not their insurance co. to replace/repair the car.  If you were at fault, then your insurance co. could decide to total the car, because they have a vested financial interest in it, with agreement with you.  Seeing as Les Schwab doesn't have this agreement, nor their insurance co, in regards to your car, they legally pretty much have to do what you want, within reason.  I think what you're asking for is perfectly reasonable

Can you go straight to their insurance?  :dunno:

So, I gotta ask, how long did it take for them to fix THE OTHER PERSONS car?   Cuz Im sure they are in the same boat and possibly just as pissed as you are?

That dang thing is in the shop more than not for really dumb stuff (like door handles breaking or electrical issues)....NEVER ever own an audi that is not under some type of warranty....

Guess what kind of car they give her for a rental??

:psss: a Toyota Camry...go figure...now she is seriously considering buying a toyota for just this reason...Funny thing is the dealer sells ALL high end makes, audi, porsche, bmw, mercedes, reang rover, etc.....no toyotas
