so me rocky and his buddy j are thinking about leaving friday night. anyone know if you can get in after dark. last time when i left there was a ranger(or whatever) at the entrance, but i dont know if we could get in.

is upper ranch part of the dirtbike area of the 4x4 area. it says hair scramble wich is a dirtbike race so i would think the 4x4 track is still open. i never even though to check though. good thinking

i believe that they close the whole park execpt the 4-wheel part..im not 100% positive on that...i will call later on or if somebody is off today call and see whats up...i really do not want to run only the 4-wheel part so hopefully some 4-wheel trails are open

i am sorry...the upper ranch is where "we" want to go!...
(i remember last year when they closed the upper ranch for the "hair scramble"!)
i fully recommend you guys choose a new date quick.. so preperations can be made!
i also think you should reserve a camping spot if you can!


by the way...i am new on this board...i live in san jose california...and i repair speedometers and gauges for a living!

For some reason they run the hair scramble up in the upper ranch where the 4x4 area is.
I think it is because the trails are wider?

Yep.  Confirmed with the ranger station.  Upper Ranch 4x4 park closed that weekend.  No vehicles will be allowed in upper ranch.
