here is some real good rigging to get back to camp. a little bit of samurai , little of 4runner and you get a landcruiser back going.

I love seeing the ingenuity in a pinch   I broke an engine and transmission mount, yes Rocky's use transmission mounts and slip yokes.  The whole drive train would thingy to a horrible angle...why's my shifter over there?...get out and kick it back...use some bailing wire...not enough to hold.  After the third attempt this got me 70 miles home

when me and my buddies go wheelin, we always bring a lot of chain..... if you need to limit your suspension use chain.  if you need to limit the travel in your drive shaft, and are really desperate, chain,  i just remember always to never leave home with my ford tool..... anger managment is one trail fix we all need to think about.   :_order:   :beerchug:

Not how you used it ;) - "to turn or tip"  - The transmission was cocked sideways

This is a really great thread. I am very interested to hear more stories of those who have done some rig'n of their own in that desperate time of getting back home safely!!
