I would love an impact but thats too easy. My truck isn't tall enough for a 3ft bar, I was trying it. Im out to get a shorter bar, ~2ft.

Could someone wall me thru the bumping the starter method. please.

Set the bar up so its end is on the ground or wedged against something solid.

Bump the starter or push the truck forward while it's in gear (1st gear, low if you're pushing truck).

You can also have the breaker bar exit thru the bottom and use your legs to push against it (while sitting on ground)

My thoughts exactly. The new bar better work, There is no space for an impact.

It didn't work. My Ebrake set, 5th gear, 24in breaker bar, my 2 legs. I think the clutch is slipping. I the engine is turning when I torque on it.
How do I block the engine?

Pull the coil wire off at the dist. Put your bar about 2" from the bottom side of the driverside of the frame. Crank the starter & it should break free.

To torque the bolt, put the truck in 5th gear.

T4DC, Twisted 4wheel Drive Club. haha

Well I did the starter bump and a bunch of leg pushing and i was able to strip the head. I'm proud. I was able to shear the corners off the bolt.
Anyone in the Stockton/ Sac area with a welder willing to help?

DAMN!!!!! that blows, i hate stripped bolts, some stripped things are good though!!! HA!! i would get a pair vice grips, a GOOD PAIR, clamp that freaker on there tight put a bar on it and to the frame, make sure its all on there good and crank the engine, just for a second or two though, trust me you really dont want to weld on such vital areas..... weakins things!!!
