This is how to don't want to bob a bed.  When I was looking for a truck I say this one in the classifieds.  85 toyoyta truck 155,000 bobbed bed, etc.  I thought I would helping myself out when I bought a truck with a boobed bed but I think it will be more work.  Oh well I'm thinking now about a flatbed.

I almost dont want to admit it but the first bed I bobbed was on my 84.  I cut the sides pretty darned straight really but I was tored after working all day and my boss's kid wanted to try out the skinny wheel.  NEVER let a highschool kid who has never used a skinny wheel cut the floor of your bed!!!  It will have about a 2" gap in spots!  Then people wonder why I put a flatbed on that truck, sheesh its not like I had a choice.

If you do it right and use patience, it will turn out just fine!

Here's a pic of Marlin's 80 long bed that has been bobbed.
