This is not a for sale thread, so hopefully it will not get deleted or moved. I need to know how much you guys think I could reasonably get for my #2 rig. I have been thinking of selling it on and off for a year or so, I just don't like letting it sit in the driveway. I don't wheel it very much, and don't have too much time to work on it with my first gen and samurai as well. Spec's ; 1989 Toy P/U, 180,000 miles,22RE (Original Runs Well), Tranny needs rebuild(works and doesn't pop out of gear but noisy), SAS (w/1985 front axle), Detroits/5.29's Front and Rear, All Pro 4" lift spring front and rear, crossover steering, stock birfs, 36/13.50/15 Irok's 70% tread on black steelies. I helped a friend build it halfway, then bought it off him for a good price and have been toying with it for a few years and just don't know what to do with it. Any opinions would be appreciated!  :turtle:  :turtle: :turtle:

I'd fix the transmission first.  Get a rebuild kit and go at it, because a lot of people will automatically deduct $1500 or more because of it(and a MC transmission is actually a bonus to the value by a little bit).

It looks like a quality rig, but the economy what it is, you won't get what you would have two years ago. :( Two years ago maybe 6K on a good day. :headscratch: Now, without duals and a bad trans you maybe ask 4K and take $3,500 :twocents:

Fixed trans, maybe $5000, especially if it's MC with a new HD clutch.

I've been doing alot of research on this very truck, and I've found that its not worth anything. Just give it to me and I'll take care of it for you.

My thing is with the tranny is that I really don't have the cash flow right now for rebuilt tranny/rebuild kit. I could put duals in it eventually since I have a spare case but would have to buy the adapter. I love the truck, willing to sell it for the right price, but then again couldn't stand if someone treated it like crap if I did sell. Its a damn SAS 3rd gen! It's beautiful! Someone offered me 3500 today. Keep the opinions comin!

fatt_matt

i'd take that if i had to sell the rig..

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.
