i was shifting my t-case from 4wheel high to 2wheel high and the shifter popped out of the forks, but when i push down it goes back in and shifts fine dose anyone know what the problem might be.

Probably lost the snap ring that holds the shifter in the socket.

or the bolts that hold the shifter plate on.
