toyminator2000 – There has to be dumb people in order for there to be smart people
i have a brute force one i hav ebeen beating on in the front for a while with no problems.
It appears that the 83 and prior trucks will use 04371-35070 u-joints and the Post 84 trucks/4runners use an 04371-60070. These could very well be the same joint but i don't stock the one for the earlier joint so it's hard to say.....
Dosent bobby long offer some good ujoints? I think they are machined for full circle clips, and mabye some other mods. I don't know if they offer them for toyotas or notm but here is a link. http://www.toyotasuperaxles.com/They are a little pricey at 150 ea though.
They might be worth it if they don't break. There is nothing worse than a broken U-Joint.
Saw another dealer advertise the stockers for 20 bux a piece and some ugraded ones for 39.99
funny how you didn't actually say it was trail-gear i wouldn't trust a trail-gear u joint on my truck
those are axle joints for dana 44 and dana 60
Jessie at High Angle Driveline says that OEM (from the dealer) are equal in strength to at least a one-ton joint or better. That is where my money goes.
