where you have the removable sections of the cage bolted together (at the floorboards) you weld in another section of tubing to the inside of the roll cage that will slip into the opposite section. say you weld the skinnier tubing inside of the upper part of the roll cage, when you go to bolt it down to the body/lower section of the cage (thats running to the frame and underside of the body) the slug will fit inside of that section of the tubing. makes it so that your bolts are supported if you happen to roll, not near as easy to break.

i build roll cages for a living and that has to be the dumbest thing i have ever heard, on full frame cars our cages are welded directly to the frame. on my 4x4 i use sandwich plates that are bolted together with half inch hardware. here is were i work if anyone is interested.  www.jbracecraft.com

i got a reply from a moderator...somthing about berating people and that it is a bad thing!...this was my response:

I guess u are right about opinions, and anyone who feels that I am incorrect in my analysis of this please feel free to express yourself. As for my comments about charlieduv123  I cannot retract them as his comment about the building of cages is beyond comprehension and one of the dumbest things I have ever heard! I do not mean to berate him but how else do you get across to someone who would post that kind of information.

Dude did you see the last post after your comments on the roll cage before the topic was deleted?  I got one of those notifications their was a post and then I went to find it this morning and it was gone.  I was hopin that guy responded with more of his infinate wisdom.

There is a new section on this stuff, in fact someone should move this thread there too.
