My Build-up ; untitled as of now
« on: Jan 08, 2008, 06:40:00 PM »
Hey, I'm new here so let me just bring you guys up to date with my truck as of now.

i bought the truck for 42 hund in july of 2006. started completly stock and looked like this

first thing i did was the stereo ( i work on car audio and electronics for a job )

i added 2 new 5.25's in the rear powered by an amp. and then added a single 10 inch sub powered by 250 rms.

next i added a rear light bar that i found on the side of the road with a for free sign on it . a couple coats of black and she looked fine.

in the beginning of the summer of 2007, i decided for my physics project to calculate the center of gravity of my truck before and after a body lift was installed. the install took about 13 hours due so some serious rust and battery terminal problems but i was happy with the results.

while working at my churches yard sale, some guy dropped off a cb radio of his and before anyone could put it down on the table to sell, i yanked her and installed her in the toyota.

heres a pic of the truck in the beginning of the summer slashing threw a little puddle ... with its stock 31" long trails.

in late july, i bought some new 33x12.5 interco trexus mud terrains. they are awesome in the mud and whatnot and don't howl under 40mph haha.

after the tires and rims, i started on a rear bumper. after 2 months and a lot of time, i got it done and on the truck about a month ago.

in the middle of the welding of the rear bumper, i added new rear shocks and new 2inch shackles in the rear.

and here are just some of the most recent pictures of the truck

the 85 pre is my buddie dylan's rig. hes also on this forum.... somewhere

as for future plans, i am currently working 2 jobs and throwing down some serious hours. i have about 300 more dollars until i can buy the bracket lift for the truck and then with in a few weeks after i get the lift in the mail, we will grab a few 30's and put her in at my buddies place.

ill keep this thread as dated as possible and hope you all like it .

just out of curiosity, what were the results of your physics project, and how big was that BL, 2"?

as for the results of the project, ... i just came up with a bunch of random numbers. i got too into the body lift itself to care about the math... but i still got a 98 on the project

a little progress made on the truck yesterday. my 4 inch rough country suspension lift arrived in the mail and will be getting on the truck hopefully February vacation. all i need now are the .25 wheel spacers and i will be all set for the install.

oh and also , my tube bender came in ... ill be doing some rock sliders and a pre runner front bumper after the lift is on.

CVs suck.

Actually my bro wheeled his 3rd gen pretty hard for 6 years(with 35's for 2-3 years) and only broke 1 CV. That also had a torn boot too IIRC. Nissan CV's probably suck.  :talkingn: But he was tired of leaning so he sas'd it a few months later.

I'm liking the truck, what are your plans for it?

well the truck for now plans to be here until it dies... 3 times

but i want to get some tube bumpers fabbed up for the front and i have an idea for some pretty intense sliders also.

then ill fix up the audio in it ( i work in car audio so its a must)

maybe lock the front ?

then solid axle it with 38's

then once its rolled , exo cage

then once the engine blows, 350 swap

then run the pregnant dog into the ground

(plans are to change when i would like)
