its a legit idea... tell us how it works if you use them... them look like they will be able to take a beating and save your glass at least a few times

skipnrocks

I never noticed the sliders on the tops of the door.  are you going to tie an exo into them someday?

toy4x4ota

no, no exo.  built just for the sake of saving the winsheild.  the back will probably get tied into some sort of bed cage though. once if start the cage work on my truck i will do something the same.

Yeah the sliders are tied into the internal cage at 3 different points two on the roof and one at the base of the a-pillar. Defiantly going to use the shat out of them as you can see the drivers side pillar and roof are already caved in a little which was the reason we are building them. And oh yeah all work you see done was with schedule 40 poop pipe and a HF bender. All the poop pipe was packed with sand and not bent over a 45 so we wouldn't have any kinks.
get some!

Doof

do you have a hookup for your refills or do you just go and pay the cheap price for a refill?

toy4x4ota

i cant remember the exact amount, but it got cary's kit, maybe 850??  no hook up on refills, but thats in the works.  i would just go to united rental and fill, some local gas stations also have propane fill stations.  i was paying 2.75 a gallon but that was over 4 months ago, i havent driven it in awhile as you can tell by the pics

yea. did you get better mpg with propane or with octane?

toy4x4ota

i felt like on the trail i saved more fuel but it seemed like on the road, higher speeds, it used more gas. at the same time i really believe that i didnt have the whole system tuned right. when everything is put back togther im gonna try mess with everything a little more.
