Im interested in the part were you guys are talking about swapping the 22RE distributor for a 20R distributor, are there really any gains to be had by doing this ?, more information would help.

I am doing an efi swap, but I am not sure all that I need to do it. I was thinking about a cam, header, and efi would help me out alot!

Just don't go too big on the cam unless you're going with megasquirt.  The stock efi/computer can't take too big a cam without starting to mess up.

There are kits available, or you could fab up your own using a supercharger off an earlier 3.8 gm.

your ignition timing curve plays a HUGE roll in how your engine runs as you are driving, and you change the timing curve with the distributer
