Xtreme Offroad Magazine
« on: Jun 03, 2004, 08:49:55 PM »
Hey guys, some of us over at Timbercrawler.com quit our jobs a few months ago and secretly started working on a new offroad magazine. It is called Xtreme Offroad and will cover the tough & ugly stuff the other mags don't cover, the trail only rigs with 35" and bigger tires, professional and amateur rockcrawling events, rig build-ups minus the bolt-on parts, rockcrawl driver profiles, ads from hardcore companies (no viaga or honda lawnmower ads here) This magazine is being lain out in a true underground, independent way, for you guys by you guys (we all own rigs) Some of our employees come over from other mags you know but that's still a secret as they have reputations to uphold! We are fully backed by CalROCS and many other organizations and companies are on-board to help us promote this. :D

Our first issue will be out October 1st and we will be every other month until we can get the cash together for a monthly plan. It is 96+ pages, full color glossy just like JP or 4Wheeler, again minus all the banter about the new Jeep Unlimited and the best camping gear of 2004.... just 96 pages of full color hardcore wheelin action!! This magazine will be circulated nationwide through a circulation company, sold at rockcrawl and other trail events and in shops across the country. We will be in Europe during the 2005 season along with CalROCS!

We are accepting subscription requests and ads as well - so if you own a fab shop or sell tube fenders or whatever, this is the mag for you. Media kits with ad prices are available. Our address is below or you can pay via paypal. Later this week our website will be up and you can pay normal Visa / Mastercard that way. We're accepting subscriptions now to help offset costs from getting it off the ground and anyone who signs up now will get 7 issues for the 6 issue price plus a free decal in the first issue!! $20.00 for 7 issues.... make checks payable to Xtreme Offroad Magazine.... it's that simple!

Thanks for any support all you guys across the country can give, we will be at events all summer and a few small parks this fall and all next year! Look for us, we have cool shirts with logo's    If you have rig worthy of coverage by all means let us know at the email below, attach 1-3 pics and a description.

Call me crazy, but I kinda like all the camping stuff, adventuring, non-competitive offroad related stuff.  I like wheeling as much for being outside with people (a rarity these days) as I do for hitting the monster trails.

Cool, BTW that cover looks really nice.  If the magazine is laid out anything like the cover its bound to be interesting.

We'd all love to see LOTS of toys in that mag. Is it me or are yotas not getting as much exposure as they should in other mags?
85 P/U, 5.29's, ARB's, 5" Skyjacker front w/ shackle, 5" Chevy rear w/ shackle+buggy,in cab cage, Ford shock hoops etc. I WANT CROSSOVER!!!

I think it will go over real well  The only draw back I see is all the new people it's gonna attract to the sport.

Here is our media kit, the mag is laid out by the same guy so expect something similair.... he is very good and I expect his layouts to be top notch. And my best friend has a toyota, pictured below, so yotas will abound, zookies too!

This Mag sounds like it's gonna be exactly what I have been looking for  No more of those cheese 15 inch lift kit build ups on th new super duty ,  or the latest 20 inch wheel that looks just like bead lock wheel yet it's fully polished aluminum  :headshake: I hope this really takes off for you guys

Yep just rolled in from Goldendale.  I got the chance (punishment?) to meet the staff.  Ill say this as of now this mag is gonna kick some serious arse!  Their photographer is suicidal to say the least I know he got mass awsome shots!  He has no fear in shooting which is both good and bad.  Good because he gets the killer shots, bad because he may become a kill shot!  I cant wait till this mag hits!  Keep it up guys and girls!

So you paid for a subscription then only got 2 issues?  How long since your last one?
