1982 toyota standard cab diesel advice?
« on: Dec 02, 2007, 11:58:55 AM »
my brother has a chance to pick up a 1982 standard cab diesel that is in good running conditon...it is the 2.2 liter diesel 2wd pickup.
the seller is asking 1800? What do ya'll think?

Also, i finally got a 89 4runner and the clutch is going out after only a few weeks of having it..I have no idea how to change out a clutch should I get a professional or try and get the haynes to do it myself?

Horrible deal!  Give me the seller's address and I'll go tell him to drop his price :bolt:

because of the weight of the transfer case, the tranny will want to turn on its side,I say its a good idea to get a tranny jack or strap the tranny to your floor jack so it doesnt want to turn over when you try to put it back in

So did you buy it?  You could easily make some money off it if it runs, or deliver it out to california for me :gap:
