throttle help

background before i get to the prob. my gas peddle is WAY to stiff for wheelin, it is like putting your foot on a 2x4 and trying to press your foot though it. its stiff. my buddy told me there is a way to make is softer, but wasnt sure how. so does anybody in here have any ideas on how it is done?? if so could you post a pic of what i need to loosen or replace yada yada yada

edit: it is a 86 runner 22re
it was the delux edition if you wish, power windows  :blah: :blah: and cruise control   :thumbdown:

tried that, the gas needle dropped faster then i could keep it up

start by lubing everything...cable, all pivot points.  If it is still too stiff, you could put a softer spring on it.

ill do that tomorrow, seeing asits dark out now and my dashboard reads 45 degrees outside...kinda chilly

for the spring i guess i could go to pick and pull and snag one...for the cable lube just spray some WD40 on it or what?...ive never done that before so idk

yeah, silicone is great, it doesn't really attract dirt, and it stays slippery.

i forgot about that stuff....its my fav spry lube, i feel shamefull for not remebering about it... ill try that tomorrow before i go to school. and give an update tomorrow in class if i notice any difference. THANKS a ton for the help

Yeah my pedal was stiff as a dead hooker and the silicon worked wonders.
