 not yet as soon as I get the motor all mocked up and the mounts built I will pull that off... I just like having the extra space while moving the motor around in there...

here is close to where it will sit for good.... I need to measure it all up and build some mounts now.... my engine stand holds it perfectly where it needs to sit... worked out great...

here you can see roughly where the mounts will sit... I have been going off mike's pics in his build but I will do some more measuring once my buddy comes over in his third gen....

and it has quite a bit of clearance with the body lift of but I dont think it will be all that bad without it anyway...

ok so I made some progress over the long weekend.... not as much as I would have liked to make because I had some other projects going on around the house.... I got my motor pulled back out, mounts final welded and painted, got my shock hoops welded on as well as got my winch mounted up.... now tonight I will get the motor back in for hopefully the last time and stab the tranny & t-cases in there as well.... I will be cutting the floor out tonight for the flat belly I will have to do more cutting then planned since the body lift is finally gone  :woohoo:

here are some pics
no body lift anymore  :woohoo:

motor mounts finalized

shock hoops installed

and my winch mounts

I also got my tranny/t-cases all assembled and ready to install this evening

ya I finally have some damn motivation to get this thing done.... I will have it done by our northern oregon get-together @ browns camp with a bunch of the guys from this board.... I got all the interior stripped down and ready to start cutting my floor out after work this evening.. then I can get the motor, tranny and t-cases all put in and finish up the t-case crossmember.....

here are some pics of the original trans tunnel all stripped down ready for some chopping

hey i just noticed your missing the ex-cab windows and the rear window... my friend just decided to pull his cab off and build a buggy he has a complete 3rd gen ex-cab minus the bed and dash. so if you need those windows or the backseat interior or whatever let me know. or if you'd want the whole cab its marroon.

got the motor back in last night.... now the motor mounts dont fit quite as well :dunno: they must have warped or moved just a hair when I welded them up.... its ok I will make them work but it does piss me off....

this one fits just perfect...

this one not so much

got the harness ran through the firewall....

ecu mounting location figured out

I finally started chopping up the taco harness to get the plugs and wires I need sorted out..

I need to find a pin-out for my 3rd gen v6 harness to figure out what is what for the guages and other circuits needed for my 2rz harness :dunno:

ok so I think I am going to pass on the cab deal since there is no dash I will have a hard time getting an oregon title they need it to be intact with all the #'s present.... I however do want the x-cab windows, hood, passenger door if it is straight..... I already have my rear window and interior parts so I should be good on all that...you should find out how much he wants for those parts I listed....thanks bro

oh ya and I almost forgot to post some progress from last night....

I moved the cab way to the back of the frame to make it much easier mounting my motor, trans and t-cases I will be getting all that installed over the weekend finally
 :woohoo:

now you can see I have a little bit more room to work with while installing all my drivetrain

although I will be moving it back more before its all over I have a feeling I didnt go far enough to get the transfer case x-member in there...

he said $150 for passenger door ex-cab windows and hood. i think the hood has a little wrinkle in the front of it but probably repairable.
