I think that 84 and 85 were the only years that had the turbo as an option and they came equipped with a w56 instead of a g58.  Of course Marlin would know way more than I but at least thats a starting point.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

There is 2lt  = a turbo version of the 2l I do not know what year it fyrst came, but it is also possible to put a turbo on that engine. Here in Iceland it has been done a number of times,
You can put the orginal turbo CT20 onto that engine but You have to be carefull not to put to much preassure into the engine 7-8 psi I thing is the preassure to set.
There are several others things that You have to do to be safe (but it is hard for me to descripe them because of my bat english)

I have a 84 Toyota 2L truck Non turbo can you give me the engine specs for this truck please? What transmission I have, gear ratio, and also what can I do to keep it from getting overheating the cylinder head again. I bought this truck with a cracked head and I bought a new one. I would like to remedy this problem of overheating. Do I get a better exhaust system, it's still got the factory exhaust on it do I make it a 2" exhaust or 2.5" even better for heat problems?
