Newbie here w/???

Well I've been an avid jeep guy but I just got an 86 xtra cab toy that I want to build up. It has the 22re and auto trans. I need to know what I have to do in order to install a marlin crawler transfer case adapter and keep the auto trans. Can anybody give me the required info???
