Chassis Number

Where can I find the chassis number on my 85 pickup? I was just wondering what my number is. Thanks!

Do you mean your VIN#? If so, driver side frame rail just behind the front shock, lower driver side windshield corner, door jamb among others.

i know  1st gens  are  on the frame  behind the pass side  shock tower

Thanks Glen, I will check there sometime. From what I understand it will be a short number... My truck was made in January of 85, and I was wondering if it was one of the first 100 or 1000 trucks from 85. I am assuming that the chassis numbers restarted in 85 and will tell me the info I want. I was in the Marlin Formula Toy build, and Geiger said something about a chassis number, and I think it was only 3 or 4 letters long. What about your turbo truck? It may be different because its ifs... but maybe it might be the same place. :dunno:
