LOL I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANOTHER TRUCK ON ANOTHER TIRES  WOAAH

Well I would suppose thats believable considering you did buy a heep to begin with.  You obviously dont get out enough to understand that for the price of your stock tj that you could have built an extremely capable yota. :headshake:
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

TigerToy

Yeah, but the TJ is 'Trail Rated'  :reg:

Hyena

Why not just get Grand Cherakee so you can be "Trail Rated" in "Style" ?

TigerToy

Yeah, then we could all go wheeling on 20 inch spinners and a thumpin system.

Hyena

Why not lower it in the process?   :dunno:

updates on the white toyota.  He put buggy springs in the rear made of the main leaf of a front toyota spring.  Held on by 3 U/bolts and a center pin on either side.  He also got a 2wd bed and bobbed it.  He is still painting it.

Hey Hyena,

Its about time I finally see some buggy leafs in action. Ive been doing alot of research with suspensions and Ive decided against buggy springs........ your's seem to work well however.

If you willing to share :chug: then Im courious as to what springs you're using in the rear and what pack did you use for the cut buggy leaf?

Thanks in advance,
BigMike

Newbie question, what are buggy leaves.  I've heard of them a lot but I have never actually understood what a buggy leaf setup is.  Any explanations or pictures would help. thanks

BigMike

Hey 81Toy,

The pic above, ramp_005.jpg, shows a close up on that white truck's rear spring/shackle setup. As you can see, the shackle is not attached to the frame, but rather a buggy leaf. It's half of a spring attached to the frame that allows for increased down travel under articluation.

Here are some more pics:

He attached the buggy spring bu using 3 stock toyota u-bolts with the plates per side.  He drilled a hole through the frame and them put a center pin throught the frame and the spring for extra strength.  He has 63 inch chevies rear and the buggy spring is made of a stock main front leaf.  only one leaf. The one with no or even negative arch to it.  I can get pictures of it tomarrow of the whole setup.
