parts stolen in arroyo grande
« on: Oct 29, 2007, 02:56:00 PM »
well, i have a friend thats in the air force, and he's over sea's right now.  asked me if he could park his 63 chevy truck on my parents property, i told him sure.  i've been starting it up for him once a month for the past 2 1/2 years, and about two weeks ago, i went out to go start it, and nothing. popped the hood, carburator is gone, air cleaner gone, and distributor, all gone.  it came off of a 350.  if anyone in the area happens to hear of anything or see someone selling these parts, please let me know.  the carb was a 750cfm edlebrock, edlebrock chrome aircleaner housing, and a mallory distributor.  i know these are pretty common parts, but the town i live in is pretty small, and my parents property is in the outskirts of town.  you can see cars coming down the road from about a half mile away.  who ever did this must have been watching it for a while.  there is almost always someone home, so i'm guessing they did it at night.  it really pisses me off to see that there is people out there that will rip something off of someone else, just because they don't want to pay for it.  anyways, now that i've let off some steem, let me know if anyone hears some idiot talking about ripping off these parts.
thanks

That sucks man!  Are you pretty familiar with the local dopers, moreover do you know how shitty their cars USED to run?  Notice any of them running better recently :dunno:
