I just registered into your site, and its sick. Its all toyota fans, what could be better. I am always wheelin with jeeps, n that crap. (I dont got much of a choice in hawaii)... But anyways i got a 79 pick up short bed, and its rust-n away, but i will rescue it, i am rebuilding the whole thing, from a cab swap, suspension, wheels, and some type of lower gears, and much more . And i am still in high school, so money is still a issue. i am still learin about suspension, and Tcase n gears stuff. So hope you guys can help me out sometime.

 For rusting problems after you fix it i would powdercoat underneath the whole truck and use high quailty or paint for the rest of the body or powdercoat that too then maybe you wont have problem with rust!
