No suprise at all my Red Top optima battery took a dump on me and wont hold a charge for more than 24 hours.  Took it to sears and it tested "not to industry standards"  Sears sold me the battery and could not find it in their computer so they would not honor the 3 year manufactures warrenty(talked to two sales associates and one manager).  I called kragen, autozone, costco, walmart and none of them carry optimas any longer, so i cant get a free repalcement under the warrenty.  Im at a loss with how i should replace my one year old battery that has a 3 year full coverage warrenty.  Optima international is closed until monday and they are my next hope.  Any ideas guys?

BTW im running a dual battery setup in my 4runner with one yellow top for accessories and use the red top as my main starting battery.  Trying to keep same brand batteries for the dual setup.

I'm in the same boat. Monument Car Parts (Livermore CA) sells and warranties them... but it's not the Mfr warranty.  Why not contact the Mfr?
