well i took my tail gate up :pokinit: creek today. i was trying to get the big  :moon: dent out of my tail gate, and i go my window 7/8ths of the way down. and now i cannot get it to go back up. i have no idea what could have caused it to stay down. im lost... anyideas of what i could check?

i looked at the fuses and they are all ok. i looked at the wires with the tail gate and it all looked ok. nothing apeared to be out of place so yeah... thats where i am at right now

Use youre key in the back and also pull it up with one hand and that may get it. Thats how i got mine to go up/down when it was sticking after it shattered

My Buddy's did the same thing once and it was hanging up on one of those big round whit wire connectors in the tail gate. We use to have to have somebody pull on the gate and roll it up to get it to clear.

the reason why it wasnt going up was because the "window lock" button had a wire pull out of the connector  :smack: ... after i re connected it it went up. it doesnt go down all the way and i got the dent more or less 90% out. its not in the way of the window now and i have to clue what could be holding it up. the motor seems to be fine but when the window is almost down prob 7/8ths you can hear the motor stress out and stop. but still goes up like a champ so i have no clue...

anyways after i got that taken care of i cut my sliders to length and removed the iron oxide from it. tomorrow im going to cut 45 degree angles in the ends and cap them. then figure out the angle i want on the body and get the  legs cut to lenth and prob weld those on as well. and if i have the energy or drive ill weld the sliders on as well. they are pretty bling. i got the idea from my buddy matt... clownman on here. but i have pics i need to load of the dent and my before sliders. ill take more pics of slider building tomorrow and keep those who are reading this up to date and what not. get a few more things checked off on the list of my 1st post... well time to hot tub and relax :spin: :wiggle: peace

its hard to explain.... ill try

its 2x4x.25" tubing and if you put it on the 2" side and look at it flat. take your finger or pencil and go to the top. draw down one inch, and mark the line. then mark the 45 and cut the 45. its not exactly a point but same idea yea. its gunna hug the body so its not much more then for looks. its complicated to explain but ill take some pics of my engineering tomorrow and alll that or i can draw it right now and show you if youd like... ill do that... give me some minutes

I use semi-flat Rustoleum (black) on everything....its not too bling bling like a gloss finish...

gloss helps the mud and dirt not stick......but flat absorbs mud and dirt...semi flat is the best of both worlds

so this morning my mom gave me possibly the best news in the world... she knows how bad i want to get a truck, and she said that if i clean up and sell out 95 runner i can put that money towards buying a first gen. if that happened it would be the best thing ever. truck and runner... best of both worlds. insurance would suck though. so i would prob do a suspension swap and sell the runner and put that $ towards a tow rig/dd if i have $ saved up to that point... depends though... well see  :crossed:
