the roll bar looks like the bolt together type which arent all that sturdy are they? id think the bed floor would be fairly equal to that roll bar :dunno:

Thats about your only option short of cutting holes in the bedfloor and tying it in directly to the frame...  With that said, i wouldn't bother doing all that unless you custom built a cage out of DOM or heavier walled tube at least..

The rollbar you have is best suited for being bolted to the bedfloor.

pretty homosexual

Why thank you Swampy poo! I'd bolt it to the bed maybe with some plates drilled on the under side for a bit more strength to it. the bolt together ones arnt much. better than nothing tho.

Get some plate, drill holes matching the holes in the plates on the roll bar.  Sandwich the bed floor between the plates, and then weld legs from the plates under the bed to the frame.

Hey guys so my buddy has owned this truck for the last 6 years and it hasn't moved once had blown motor and flat rear tires. Well i was finally able to buy it off him and just happen to find this build thread so thought I might continue she still is looking good but definitely needs some loving.  How do I post pics?
