Basically it all comes down to how cool is the cop is.

Along with the no doors issue, i've heard of the required 2" at the bottom, as well as being required to have atleast 2 fuctioning mirrors, the rear view and either side mirror atleast.

I've been running without a front plate for the last 3 years without trouble, been by plenty of cops. I know it's supposed to be there but they don't seem to mind around here.  :dunno:

I guess it may also depend on the local area and what kinda things are problems for them there.  :dunno: Certainly are a lot of inconsistencies here about a lot of the same stuff.  :willynilly: Well, I say "do whatever", as long as you don't get in trouble for it.  :gap:

I'm sorry if i piss someone off, but i have to agree with Jimbo here.. if it's broke, fix it... if it's muddy, wipe it off....

I'm a cop in the Air Force and i have to enforce the laws of Utard.... trust me, it ain't fun having to pull some jack :moon: over because his truck is illegal. And yes, there are a lot of stupid cops our there in the U.S., but if it's wrong it's going to be enforced.

If it were you, hope on the internet (like you are now) and look up your state laws on your bumper's and blinker's, cause thats prolly the biggest reason why you got pulled over. Also, if you put your license  plate in your front window (if you don't wanna run if on the front of your truck), thats legal, because you legally are showing your plate on the front of your vehicle.

Usually the law for mud flaps is that you only need them in the rear of your truck, but providing your tire's don't stick out of the wheel well more than 2 inche's. But remember, this is Utard state law.

Just my .02

Sorry to tell you but putting your plate in the windshield or back window would be illegal.

This is also why they pulled your buddy over for that hanging front plate. Your plate must be securely fastened to the vehicle not just tossed on your dash, and if you did figure a way to fasten it inside the winshield I'm sure they'd find a way to say it was obstructing your vision.
