Topic: Adjusted the TPS & now it surges!

  My engine has been running a little rough. Not bad but noticable. I decieded to adjust the TPS & now it surges at 1500 rpm's. When it gets to 1500 it goes up to 2000 & back down about 4 times the jumps to 2000 & holds. It does that with a steady pedal. I'm thinking the TPS is bad since it did fail 2 of the test that I did when I checked it according to the FSM. Anyone else experience this  Since a new one is about $150, I just don't want to start throwing parts at it.

Yep Ive gone through 3 of those and if I could hold the throttle at different RPMS and it would go from say 3000 drop to 2000 then slowly go back to 3000 then back down and itd keep doing that as long as you would have it at a steady pedal. My last TPS that went out would go from 1300 to 1000 and just keep doing that pretty fast.

My guess is also the TPS is bad
