overheating?????

so recently the temp gauge on my truck has decided to go past the red mark and wat i  dont understand it isnt HOTT and it has brand new anti freeze, im thinkn it could be teh thermostat or my radiaitor is shot...what do yall think???

is there a good conection to the temp sender  ??? may be bad  :dunno: Ive had that problem on my Camreo and the wire that was connected to the temp. sensor was bad. Check it out

it isnt HOT
:confused:  You mean it's actually not overheating -- just showing hot on the gauge? 

If so, radiator should be OK, sending unit could be bad.

so i just put a new thermostat in her and she is back to running good, its running a little hot but not bad at all totally drivable/wheelable

Please tell me it's not a stant thermostat :ack:  Had too many of them lock up on me, even the fail-safe ones that are supposed to lock open :shake:  Did you bleed off all the air in the system?

no it aint another one of them gay things and yes i did bleed off the air in the system
