I need a heater valve
« on: Aug 17, 2007, 04:30:31 PM »
Not sure of the exact name.  But I need the valve that is in the engine bay that allows water from the radiator to go into the heater core.  Thanks

Have you tried your local parts supplier. Some times they can get that type of thing. If not the dealer should be able to help.

I would stay away from used valves, as they may leak or not work.

Yeah I went to a couple parts stores and they said that they don't carry them, because it was to old.  Not sure if any newer toyotas have the same one.  Thanks  Andy

:headscratch: You live in Vegas! You don't need a heater  :shake: J/K, A good parts person would take the time & look. Too many of todays parts people just use to computer instead of breaking out a parts book. Try your local radiator shop  :crossed:

On this note, you are correct, but the corporation doesn't make it any easier on us.  The new catalogs that we get are junk, and 9 times out of 10, the new edition we get will only have about 80-85% of the information that the "old" one has.  I swear, they are TRYING to turn us into VatoZone.

Sorry about that.

Hey! I resemble that remark.

Which part are you saying you resemble?   :headscratch:  Because I would put you into the second half, (even though your not old, nor do you seem grumpy), but you know what your doing and you try.   which is a complement.

There are two different valves for the 4runners. One has the rear heat bypass and the other is the same as a truck valve. I bought the rear heat bypass style from Toyota for my 4runner for about $70.00
