$300 a good price for a toyota frontend out of an 83?
« on: Aug 13, 2007, 06:33:48 AM »
I found a front end that i would like to buy but the dude wants 300 for it. I offered $250 but he said no. Its supposed to be in "good shape" which of coarse means it was pulled from a running vehicle but that there is nothing particularly good about its condition. What do you think yay, or nay?

Well, ask him a few questions if you havent tried to barder with him already. How many miles is on it etc...... If he cant give you a straight answer, then 300, hes getting a deal.

I paid $150 for mine (I think) and mine was in great condition after a little brake cleaner :dunno: I think $300 is steep unless it's built a lil bit more than stock :headscratch:

It does depend on how hard they are to find at least somewhat.  I used to get them for $150 a set but as they get harder to find the price goes up.  I bought my last set for $250.  I've heard of other areas where the price is higher...

That seems to be the normal price around here, but just keep looking!  Just keep looking!  I see them on Craigslist all the time, but they go really fast!  What do you feel comfortable paying for, is the question?

Just keep looking for a whole non-running rig that has an axle and part out the truck!
