Ok, I got injector's for both a turbo motor (200,000 miles) and a regular 22re (mileage unknown).  How often do injectors go bad?  I've been told the injectors are the same, is there a number on the injectors to verify this?  Will the 22re ecm run the 22rte injectors properly?  Or should I stay with 22re injectors?  When should you replace injectors with new ones?  How many miles can you get out of a set?  I am still learning about EFI, I grew up in the world of carburetors!

Would it be better if I started with new injectors?  Basically, I want to get this truck running on the first fire!  I don't want to be chasing electrical, fuel, and anything else I can prevent now, before start up!  I'm checking all electrical that I've dealt with up to this point!  I will check every sensor and wire to make sure it's working!  It's a pain but that way I know I've checked everything and it's all in it's specified range according to FSM.

How much do injectors cost?  Any help is greatly appreciated!  Thanks!  :cheese:

Volcom

Injectors don't usually go bad.  They do get dirty though.  I sent mine off to http://www.witchhunter.com/ and had them cleaned and flow tested.

You should check the injectors as per the FSM, and if they check out ok send them out to be cleaned and flowed. It is not that expensive, I paid like $50 to have my four done. I used this guy www.cruzinperformance.com

I'll check out the ohms/resistance on them, and then I'll just run them.  I'll get them flowed later on, right now I really need to get my butt in gear, but time has been limited.  I need to get the rubber o-rings and spacers kits for them though!   :cheese:

You really might want to reconsider, when  had mine done they were so far off from one another before that I was glad I had it done. They all flowed within 1 percent of each other when done. Oh and I got new o-rings and spacers with them.

So, what's the turn around on sending them in?

Updated Question!!

Ok, the 22rte turbo injectors are designed for more fuel flow, after the turbo kicks in, but they do run the motor at the lower rpm's before the turbo kicks in.  Will they work just fine in a 22re motor?  The spare efi setup I have has a different injector plug style.  One set is round and the other is square.  I'm planning on using the original harness, because it's in better shape (turbo harness).  The other spare harness has been hacked and is missing some crucial connectors.  Now the ecm, afm, tps, and O2 should properly adjust the injectors!

Will the turbo injectors run fine, in the 22re?

I would put in the injectors that the ecu is programmed for, but I'm just guessing.  You should ask this over on the celica board.  As I understand, unless you have made a modification that surpasses the fuel demands of the stock injector, bigger injectors will only cause problems.  Don't take this as gospel as I have only a limited understanding, but I hope it gets you in the right dirrections.
