Looks like the bed will stay off until the cab and bed are painted , easier to paint the back of the cab and the bed with it off . Need to rig up some tail lights though .

Ok , I'm replacing the timing chain tensioner , I get the oil pan dropped and find pieces of plastic guides from the guides breaking in the past and the P.O. not taking the time to clean all of the crap out when replacing the chain and guides . I get the cover off and find the P.O. replaced the guides with more plastic ones , what a tard !!!! I also find JB Weld on the inside of the cover where the chain had eaten away and also around the oil pump , so now I'm in need of a new cover and I'm replacing the Guides with metal ones .

Yikes, you got to love old trucks.
1985 toy, Hybrid 20r/22r on propane, 30splines, custom built leaf packs, welded front and rear diffs, dual ultimate crawler, full hydro, full exo, flat bed, 37' mtrs

Gittinit

If that is a  tall deck then why not go dual row chain at the same time. I might have a cover for you , but replacements arent verry high priced. The po of my truck did the same half assed job to my motor, only I didn't find out till it started knocking. At least you can be thankful you cought it early.
