Actually I never got to putting the castor wedges in the front, but I did put them in the rear to help correct my hideous pinion angle.  Heres a pic of the rear springs out of the truck with the wedges still on them.  If you can get a set of metal ones as they dont have such a tendancy to break under hard use.

Go to a hardware store they should have cheap anglefinders that area around $5.  Before you start put the finder on your front pinion flange, write that angle down somwhere.  Now once you have the front suspension put in the truck, measure the angle again.  From there its just simple subtraction and theres your shim need.  Usually it takes a 4-6 degree shim to get in the ballpark.  I like to run a bit more castor, so I dont use all the shim that I really should.  But its a trade off for street manners vs. trail performance.

here is a pic of my rear pack note the ubolt flip kit because the stock ubolts are to narrow and aftermarket ones wont fit in the stock brackets becides more clerance cant be bad. the 4* shim to change the pinion angel to prevent a horable rattle because of the driveshaft angel and the 3in block to get the springs above the ebrake cable if you need any other pics just let me know my email address is billyjoe.west@dm.af.mil yah im millitary also oh yah in forget about the rears up fromt i know what kind of budget your on and the rears move you axel forward a little over two inches your stock stering will most defantly break under full flex and for x over stering your looking at at least $500 summit has some cheep procomp 4" in lift springs that fit great they are a little rough but for 100 a pair they are great the only other thing you'll ned is a drop drag link ithink suspentionconnection.com has the best price on that like $70. oh and sky-manufacturing.com has a awsome install kit for the chevies i didn't use it but would have if i had seen it before. i get on this a work because i have nothing else to do here so im willing to help you threw it but i work mids so ill be a day behind all the questions oh yah the names bj good luck

this is JMO, but you can't go wrong with the rears up front. 100 each for a 4 inch spring, and about 80 for the steering isn't much less than Marlin's hysteer 400. plus the steering box. that will solve all of your steering problems. the rear springs will move your axle foward. a good thing if you want bigger tires. I got around 5 inches with my setup. Built a 3 inch drop hanger. used 6 inch boomerang shackles. and added some wagoneer springs to the pack.

you can just bolt the rears in the stock location up front. but be sure to get some longer shackles. or the spring will hit the frame and limit the susp. travel. i think this will give around 2 maybee 3 inches of a lift. and don't forget about the front driveshaft. something must be done to it. or it WILL pull apart rather easily when flexed.
Build them. Don't buy them
