I've heard that one gossip site said she contracted a rash, but it was "factually" reported on MSNBC that the judge wondered aloud whether a recent pshyciatrist visit that she had in jail had sparked her supposed "medical condition." It also said that when her attorneys requested a private conference in the judge's chambers so they could explain her "condition which makes the jail a dangerous place for her to be", the judge flat-out ignored them.

Lest ANYONE feel sorry for the little Powderpuff Princess, here is a synopsis of how she landed her sorry ass in this predicament. I'm sure if I look hard enough, I can find the exact details and dates, but basically:

She got pulled over at least 3 different times in a 6-month period for wreckless driving, failed sobriety tests, was ordered to enroll in alcohol education classes and pay fines, lost her license, got 36 months' probation, SIGNED A PAPER acknowledging that she wasn't to be driving.......never bothered to enroll in the alcohol education classes, continued to drive, got pulled over YET AGAIN for wreckless driving, the police officer found the paper that she had signed, STILL IN HER GLOVEBOX FROM THE LAST TIME SHE GOT YANKED.

And this was all between September 06 and February 07. From what I understand, she was already given enough breaks because they didn't charge her with everything they could have during this string of arrests (i.e., giving her "wreckless driving" instead of DUI, etc.). So the final time that she got pulled over and was driving without a licence and STILL 5 months later ignored the order to enroll in alcohol education classes, they declared her in violation of her probation agreement, which carries a mandatory sentence of up to 90 days in jail. The judge was already being lenient in giving her 45 days, and they basically promised her she'd be out within 23 if she played her cards right. But STILL, she has to try to pull

to get out of it. UNREAL!

Justice is justice, meaning it isn't fair to "over punish" a celebrity just to prove a point, but they damned sure had better get the same punishment that John Doe the plumber down the street would get in the same circumstance.

I also read where the judge was supposed to have recieved papers regarding her medical condition which he never got. All during the hearing, it was reported, he would look at the clock, state the time and say "I still have not recieved the medical report"

I feel like an ass for paying attention to all this but seeing her go down (and not in a prawn video way) is just too funny not to watch.

They are going to have appeals... if there is a justice in this land, they will not turn around the current ruling. 45 days is not over punishing her, if anything she is still getting off WAY easy!

Any average joe would have been in the slammer on the first offense, and with the repeated offenses would be serving years, instead of days, by now.

It was said on a sony.AOL news report that her private psychiatrist had visited her in jail and had told the Sheriff that she was on verge of nervous break down. She was then later released. What the hell? Are you kidding me?

this part of the report says it all, this is right on:

"I'm sure there's a lot of people who've seen their family members go to jail and have various ailments, physical and psychological, that didn't get them released," he said. "I'd say it's time for a course correction."

There are people with all kinds of health problems in there. She is a spoiled pregnant dog, cut and dry.

! It's not like she got a death sentence. 45 days!! PAHLEEZE!!!
She could have been doing only 23 days!

And now her mother is sobbing on video about it? MY GAWD!!!! THEY HAVE NO CLUE!!!!

Paris Hilton says she will no longer "act dumb."

The reality TV star and relentless publicity-seeker spoke with Barbara Walters by phone Sunday, a day after releasing a statement saying she hoped the media would focus on "more important things" than her 45-day jail sentence, according to ABC News' Web site.

"I used to act dumb. ... That act is no longer cute," ABC quoted Hilton as saying.

After spending three days in jail in a reckless driving case, Hilton was briefly released to home confinement Thursday for an undisclosed medical condition. An outraged judge sent her back to jail Friday. She is now housed in the medical ward of a maximum-security detention center.

According to ABC News, the call came after Hilton's mother, Kathy, phoned Walters. During the conversation, the 26-year-old socialite called her mom on another line, found out her mother was talking to Walters, and then called Walters collect. All jail inmates are required to call collect.

Hilton has been saying that she is changed by her jailhouse experience, and she repeated that theme with Walters: "Now, I would like to make a difference. ... God has given me this new chance."
