just a coincedence  these "other"  refineries  shut down  HELL NO,  those  with there hands  in the cookie jar  couldnt get their pockets lined  if  the refineries  where running  full steam

I think it's funny that at Safeway (2 miles from the freeway) they charge $3.09
At all 4 gas stations right off the freeway offramp it is $3.45, but nobody is price gouging. :shake:

It's been 3.15 here in Utah for about a week... i bet my wife that the gas prices will go under 3 bucks a gallon once this summer, but it won't stableize under 3 dollars ever again... hope i'm wrong

I  just read in the Oregonian that the refineries are shutting down for "unscheduled" repairs.  And they are blaming the problem on bio-fuels.  And how the government wants them to search into other fuel options instead of oil refining.  And since this all happened the gas production is normally at 1.8 million barrels of oil a day, to 1.0 million barrels!  So, in theory, we are only producing half of what we need to have produced.  In turn, because there is supposedly less fuel, they have to jack the price!  Supply and demand!  What a better way to get more money, since we are short on production, and oil, we have to jack up the price at the pump! 

Post up your local papers/news is reporting to you about why!  It is always something different each year on why?  Last was Katrina, the year before it was the barrel price was too high, the year before that was due to "old" refineries that are inefficient!  I call BS!

Well, our gas has actually gone down.  It was $3.47 last week and now it's down to $3.36.  :willynilly:
