tranny oil
« on: May 12, 2007, 11:35:08 AM »
I just finished a crawl south of me and I later took the truck on the highway.  The tranny reached around 300 degrees but both transfer cases are running at normal temp.  What could be the problem, and what type of oil does the G58 take??  Thanks

75/90 is jsut a little thinner @ lower temps... not a big deal --- the weights are very similar, there are some transmissions out there that take a straight 30 weight... my motor oil is thicker than that!
