Where is the best place to install the sending unit for my mechanical autometer temp gauge on my 1992 22re? Every coolant port that I can see has a sensor in it that is probably necessary. Does anybody know of any coolant port plugs that are not in use somewhere on the block that I can screw the temp sender for the gauge into? Thanks
If you still have control you aren't going fast enough

Drill and tap the thermostat housing for the sender.

That sounds like a lot of work.
