I would install it myself if I had the time or place to do it. Unfortunately I'm living in gov. housing and working god forsaken hours. It's either have a shop install it or not have it installed at all
81RedRocket post up on nw-wheelers (http://www.nw-wheelers.com/forum/) there are lots of people on that forum in washington that can do it for ya, for less money than a shop.
Eh.. While I think it's on the high side, I don't think it is completely unreasonable. But more important than that is (as someone mentioned) the rep of the shop. An aussie locker will require grinding on the carrier and extra time/care is needed.
I'm located in the middle of nowhere - Kalaloch Washington.
bs you can put an aussie in with out grinding i have seen three done one requird a deadblohamer to get it in but only a few taps. and they only take 15mins after you get the 3rd out
check out the lockrites..... i dont believe they require any filing or grinding....... SIMPLE!!!
how do you figure they arent as strong??? you have bad experience with lockrites?? they are identical in design and perdy sure made out of the same material..... plus Richmond makes them so........ alittle info on your reasoning please???!!!!!
i see!!! mmmmm................ so it the major difference the pins??? i was going to install a lockrite in my dads 85 this weekend but maybe i should get rid of it??? what do you guys think???
well he doesnt wheel as hard as i do but its still in the box!!!!! i might be able to get rid of it locally too instead of sending it back......
