fixing that  and the broke leaf  will fix  your  spring to tierod  problem

paint and bumpers done. it only took 8 cans of spray paint that cost $1.99 a can 8) i like how it turned out.



i might make a front bumper some day but i happen to like how the stock bumper looks. i'm not a big fan of big heavy bumpers.


my rear bumper was the first thing i ever welded(last year). i know its nothing special but its light weight, low profile, and does a great job of keeping my tail gate protected. i'll add some D rings to it when i get some time and maybe some more side protection.

be careful it can bend your springs right where the edge of the overload is (the thicker leaf will)

good points. i'll have it done before i do and hard wheeling. i dont know if it'll stop the spring to tie rod problem though. it might. i'm gonna run a bump stop anyway. thanks

why didnt you inward the rear leafs? it would have given you some extra flex,  I dont know how much room you have by your tank,  But thought Id ask.

he means  putting the springs  inside the frame rails  but  that takes alot of  fabricating  and is NOT  a good idea  at all for a truck driven on the highway

sweet ride.  it looks like it rides a little low in the rear or is it just me.  mad props for the home fab parts.

my rig is a daily driver so i wouldnt be able to inward the rear springs.

thanks. yes the rear sits a little lower than the front. i'm gonna have to invest in some new rear springs eventually. maybe f150's with a double shackle.
