Yup , 6.0 . . . I'd been looking for the last 5 weeks . I wanted a 7.3 but every time I found one I wanted it was sold . My buddy tows with a 6.0 and he has no problems with it so I bought this one last weekend . After this happened I took it back to the dealer and they tried to give me a crap and said they'd only cover half of the cost to fix it even though it was still under warranty    . They said because I was towing with it    . I fought with them and gave the truck back . So I have no tow rig for now .

That sucks about the super duty, But on a lighter note congrats on the top 50 in TTC you got my vote.  Please don't tear her all to shred's in the tank trap/canyon! (get a d-max)

dude buy a 03 or newer Dmax they hardly ever have problems.  I have a 08 4door diesel and love it, towing in the mountains 15-16mpg empty on the highway 20-22mpg. just my two cents

Thanks man . I've heard the same before . My boss has one and he's never had any issues that I know of , another budy has the same thing and he had a Super Duty before . He says he's never had issues with the D-Max .

Yeah I figured as much..... I work on those damn 6.0's constantly..... FICM's, injectors, heads..... They are decent till you have to work on them, absolutely NO room! The 7.3 is by far the superior of the two.

one unit bearing, one alternator, and rear driveshaft u-joints are all I've replaced in my d-max in 175,000 miles.
