Getting ready to build trail rig/ town cruiser

Ive been researching alot now... and i can't figure out if i want a 85-89 truck... or 4runner this is going to be build for a trail rig town cruiser like i said before... i know 85's have the axle and fuel injection... i have a front axle ready to swap in one i just want the pros and cons vs the trucks and the 4runners.... thanks

4RUNNER- HEAVIER,SHORTWHEELBASE, BUT SAME WHEELBASE AS STANDARD CAB.  lOTS MORE ROOM, REMOVEABLETOP.   PICKUP--- HAS-BED,MORE VISUAL SIGHT, CAN GO LONGBED OR EXTCAB FOR LONGER WHEELBASE.                                  I would go efi for sure even if you have to do a sas as for truck I had a 89 4runner and absolutly loved it and I have had several trucks. It really depends on your needs 4runner can legaly seat5. My personal favorates are firstgen 4runner and 85-88 extcab short bed. but remember if you go carb you will regret it later. but there is always propane. or efi swap=pita
