Hey I have a question that probably isn't possible but I figured this would be the best place to ask.  I have a 2001 tacoma 4wd 5 speed (R150F) that I have built up over the years into a serious prerunner, and the 4wd has been removed minus the tcase.  For some time, about 2 years, there has been something loose in the Tcase, that makes a grinding/scraping noise every time the truck shifts weight forward, I shift at high speed, or the weight of the suspension unloads.  This noise is very loud and annoying.  I recently tore into the tcase to see if I could find anything wrong, but I did not see anything obvious.  Also, it is at this point just dead weight putting strain on my tranny mount, and rotating mass robbing HP that I do not want or need.  Is it possible to eliminate the tcase and convert to a 2wd tailhousing/shaft?  Or is there anything else that would replace the tcase that would bolt up with a hookup for the speed sensor and have a fixed yoke for the driveshaft?  I do not want to convert to a 2wd tranny due to the fact that I believe that the 4wd internals are stronger, and that the 2wd ones are very difficult to find in junkyards.  I know this is a a longshot...if anyone has any info it would be much appreciated.
