Yep the title says it all.... Heres what ive tried:

it has fuel
it has spark
tried a new AFM
messed with timing
checked every single fuse
checked connections on computer
listened for gas in tank
unbolted cat to check to see if clogged
unplugged battery for a little
checked all connections under hood/dash
put a new resistor pack on for the injectors

What the motor does:
Starts, will run for 1-2 seconds then just die. Can try to start again but wont start for 1-2 minutes. After waiting 1-2 minutes it will fire and run for 1-2 seconds. I can have my foot to the floor and the RPMS will go up but still will just die after 1-2 seconds. Also I DO NOT HAVE A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

What the motor has been doing:
Past 2 weeks it has been gradually getting worse. It was sputtering at lower and lower RPMs. It would be sputtering while driving on the road.

Ive came to the conclusion it is either the EFI R./BULBCHECK R. under the dash panel or the computer is fagged off. Does anyone have any ideas? Its annoying not driving my truck and having to bum rides places.

thats what my truck was doing.  your computer is not getting any readings from the fuel pump.

lilbuddy

soi the computer is fagged?

thats what bigmike thinks. That is also what I think.

it wasn't my computer, it was the conncection from my pump to the computer that came apart.  i would check that part of the wiring harness, it goes under the passenger side of the floor.  it may be your computer though.

Ramrod

I have a computer for you lilguy to try out but i'd like it back sometime. Its from a 86 4runner so it will fit perfect

lilbuddy

Tried brads idea and all the wires are good and I can hear the pump and everything too.

Tried a new computer, nothing. Put my old computer and old relay in mine now into my buddys 4 runner and it works in his so my computer and relay are good.

I even checked to see if the bulb for the check engine is out and its good so I am absolutely stumped now.

I have no idea then, sorry

Hyena

there is also a efi relay in the fuse box in the engine compartment, on mine at least.  have you checked the intake tubes to make sure they aren't leaking?

lilbuddy

Is it that one and only black one in there?

on mine it is a silverish cylinder type thing that says efi on it.

See now i have the one under the dash that is silverish and is round but doesnt say EFI and i plugged it in my buddys truck and it worked fine.

Theres a black square one under the hood but I dont know if it is for EFI or not.

I think there are two relays to control the fuel pump.  One is used on inital startup to prime the pump, it only runs for a couple seconds and the other kicks in once there is rpm signal.
Retiring the 91
Rebuilding the 94

This is kinda what my truck is doing, and the FSM says to check the egr, pvc, vacuum leak, intake to throttle body for a leak!  I just haven't had time to check mine, for many reasons the biggest is, I don't want the turbo model!  I've been looking for a 22re!  Good luck!

fuel pump bad?

Nope I could hear it work...

So I did a random search and got a post from 2003 and it said just check every ground... sure enough the ground underneath the intake manifold, the bolt came out and the head is kinda stripped so i threw a new bolt in and it started right up.

I know you said you hear the fuel pump working, does it sound normal? Have you checked the actual pressure? Pressure is important with EFI... :yesnod: Be sure about the pressure.  :inthedark: Good luck  :crossed:
