Drop drag link and stock J-arm
« on: Mar 07, 2007, 01:57:57 PM »
Wanted: an adjustable drag link and a J-arm for a '79 axle. I'm in Arkansas, but I don't think shipping these 2 things would be hard as small as they are.

I'm kind of on a budget (who isn't), so I'm keeping the stock steering for awhile. I'm looking to do the ball flip on my J-arm, and run a adjustable drop drag link. I want the extra J-arm as a spare.

Because I forgot about Glen-Mart  :king:

Will that drag link work with a ball flip, or will I have to cut and turn it myself? And how much you want for it and an arm?

As for springs, my dad had a few sets of rears off of newer Dodge half tons. They are thick though, and I don't think they'll flex much, but I haven't really wheeled it yet. I only put two leaves in each pack. I got the lift I wanted out of it though. I need to redo my spring hanger first so that the springs will hang straight, then I might toy around with some f150 springs.

dang, I threw that setup away cus nobody responded.....too bad
Sand, what fun, drop pressure to 12psi, stock tires are still digging, can't afford to get stuck, 8psi, still not working. Find a place to GET OUT, air up, un-lock hubs,  WAIT whats this, hubs are UN-LOCKED already. 2wd, 8psi, stock tires, Oregon sand dunes.

Yeah, I saw your post about that. I thought about it for a while (debating histeer vs new tires), and when I checked it again, you had already thrown them away.  :smack:

yeah, where I live Im not allowed to work on my car or store my spare parts here. right now Ive got two extra trannys and two extra tcases some junk springs, my hitch, my shell, some 15x10 alloys some step bars oh three broke down motorcycles oh, and my solid front axle, lift springs and rear blocks plus my four new shocks.......I dont know how the housing lady hasnt come by and threatend me with a writeup yet? POINT BEING, if its truly junk to me, it doesnt stick around long.....should posted as "might be interested" then I woulda held it longer, but with no interest at all, it hit the round file quick and hard....lol

steering round ???  if you mean what i did to my drag link,  i added  some spacers,ie  small washers  in the right places  so as to correct the position
and also i bent  the  j arm end  of the drag link  about 10*  so  to give it more movement  in the lifted  position

i think he means do you have any pictures of the steering (around) the area of where you did the modifications
